My Robots in Action - Real Media and YouTube Video Clips

  • SENSORS
RealPlayer required, will open in separate window.
This is an actual run of the program, you can see the
lego robot getting instructions (the usually invisible)
infrared LEDs flash. The wire is for power - the batteries
in a LEGO brick are not recharge-able and would die every
3 hours if left on. After the robot returns to 'base'
it sends the results of it mission to a spreadsheet for
downloading and analysis. The web site ran from 2001 to 2005.
It was shut down due to NASA security concerns.
The site ran on a single Windows 2000 box using Inet and asp.

  • Planetary Mobile Platform
This is the pneumatic rocker bogey chasis I built as an
experiment, and wrote up in 'Servo' Magazine.

  • Personal Exploration Rover
The PER(personal exploration rover) was designed by Illah
Nourbakhsh of Carnegie-Mellon University to teach robotics
to the general public. PER displays are at the Exploratorium,
National Air and Space Museum and NASA.I had one (2003-2008) of
    of the 30 in service.

  • GoPHR General Purpose Household Robot
  • This is a prototype for an assisted living or telerobotic
robotic servant. Project started in 2009.

CSIX migration(June '09) I am volunteering to help
www.csix.org redesign and upgrade a 2003 vintage php site. First,
we need to get the old site cloned and fix the broken links(Check).
Then we will replace the old php pages with current ones.
Finally, the new art work and menu/navigation widgets will be applied.

    Stupid Cell Phone Tricks HTML/WML/PHP/XML

This is a project examining if it would be possible to have a 'virtual' cell phone on the web. This would be a replacement phone in case I lost or broke my cell phone while away from home.
